AVAM's 2014 Flicks From The Hill series is presented by Chipotle Mexican Grill in the Hughes Family Outdoor Theater

  • Where: On Federal Hill (rain location: inside AVAM's JRVC, 3rd floor)

Grab a blanket, picnic under the stars, and watch a great film selection inspired by AVAM's current exhibition, Human, Soul & Machine: The Coming Singularity! The Hughes Family Outdoor Theater features seating for more than a thousand on the natural amphitheater formed by Federal Hill; a 30-foot wide screen held from above by a Giant Golden Hand; a twinkling view of the city; and an amazing community experience that is FREE. Find out why AVAM's 'Flicks' series was listed by Travel + Leisure magazine as one of the "World's Best Free Things," and frequently tops many other "Best Of" lists around the city. And don't forget: the museum is OPEN & FREE between 5 and 9pm on Flicks nights! Rain Location:

In the event of rain or other nasty weather, we will show the Flicks inside AVAM's Jim Rouse Visionary Center (JRVC) building on the 3rd floor. We watch the weather reports closely, and will announce the change as soon as we know via our Facebook ( and Twitter (@TheAVAM) channels. Chairs will be available for the indoor screenings, or you can bring your own blanket and cozy up on the floor. Restrooms are convieniently located on each floor of the JRVC building, and there are elevators available as well. Sorry, no pets allowed inside.
