Relive the GLORY at KineticBaltimore.com
Saturday May 5, 2012: The American Visionary Art Museum hosted it's 14th Annual, East Coast National Championship, KINETIC SCULPTURE RACE throughout the streets, parks, and harbor waters of Charm City (aka Baltimore, MD). This year, 35 unbelievably crafted, human-powered entries, piloted by teams of fearless Kinetinauts & their courageous Pit Crews raced for the glory, and the coveted Grand Mediocre Champion (finishes right in the middle) on Cinco de Mayo! 2012's Champions The 1% hailed from Proteus Bicycles of College Park. Their vehicle, a solid gold, pedal-powered Rolls Royce was a comic look at the widening economic divide between "the haves" & "have-nots," and turned many heads as they toured the city spreading their well-heeled Kinetic $pirit! And lest we forget the many other outstanding marvels of Kinetic engineering & design, including (to name just a few): People's Choice Award Winner Loose Cannon, Pilot's Choice Award Winner Bling Dynasty, Art Award Winner Yes! Oui! Cancan, Engineering Award Winner Bike to the Future, Speed Award Winner Lickety Split, Best Costumes Winner The Polysaccharides, and all the rest!
As always, KineticBaltimore.com's Tom Jones & his team of undaunted Kinetiarazzi Photographers covered the entire race with absolute precision & impeccable detail! You can literally relive the entire day & see (just about) every moment captured on their site with their 2012 Race Report – check it out now!
