Description
The American Visionary Art Museum seeks a full time Education Coordinator. This position acts as liaison between the museum and visitors to enrich and expand visitor’s overall museum experience including group tours, educational programs, and workshops. Salary range $49k-$54k
Additional job duties include:
Coordinates and schedules student and teacher workshops.
Schedules K-12 school visits, general group tours, docents, and workshops
Maintains the group tour calendar
Maintains program attendance database
Greets all school groups upon arrival
Schedules all volunteers for special events and daily activities
Maintains the volunteer database
Coordinates volunteer training and orientation
Facilitates classroom workshops
Assists with all educational programming
Provides creative input for, and assists with all AVAM events and programs
qualifications
Team player, flexible, detail oriented, organized
Experience leading art workshops with students of all ages
Experience creating lesson plans and projects for students
Strong written and oral communication skills
