About the Event

Pitch the first story! Draw and write about any sport using your own blank book: a Wiffle ball!! Bring your quotes, sound effects, trivia, profiles, logos, plays, and favorite matches to this interactive family workshop. (You are also welcome to envision a future / science fiction sport.) Students will be taking their "ball books" home at the end of the workshop.

Teaching artist Trina Lion has led creativity projects since 1995. Institutions include the New York Public Library, American Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. Her workshops have been featured on the Discovery Channel and Literacy Today. To learn more, visit trinalionarts.com.

This workshop is great for families with kiddos ages 5 and older! $5 per participant, FREE for AVAM members.
