About the Exhibition
"All the great ancient languages (Sanskrit, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, and Arabic) use but one word to embody three things: wind, spirit, and breath. This exhibition aimed to capture that timeless human longing to feel the kiss of an energetic breeze through our hair - so exquisitely evidenced by the inspirational painting by William Kurelek, “Quebec Farm Children in Nature’s Ecstacy.” Be it hardwired from our origins as primates swinging through the trees, or the liberating thrill of riding downhill on bikes, the glee of slope skiing, or the joy of a convertible on a fragrant summer night - wind, breath, and spirit are the eternal forces that remind us we are far more than just the material physiology of our bodies." - Founder, Director and Chief Curator, Rebecca Hoffberger
