The Kinetic Sculpture Race Doesn’t Happen by Itself.

Every wild, wonderful moment of the race takes serious behind-the-scenes magic. We need you to help keep the gears turning. Our fearless Kinetinauts spend months building their human-powered masterpieces—can you spare a few hours to help bring it all to life? To enlist: beka@avam.org.

  • Checkpoint Charlies

  • Number Nerds

  • Medics on Wheels

  • Finish Line Holders

  • Experienced Kayakers

  • Mud Doctors

  • Sand Dwellers

  • Wash World Wranglers

  • Clean-Up Crews

  • Safety Inspectors

  • Countdown Girls

  • Kinetic Kops

Got special skills?  Let us know if you have:

  • Medical or first-aid skills

  • Kayak experience (plus your own kayak)

  • An uncanny ability to stay upbeat in the mud

🚲 Note: Many positions require a bike or other small personal vehicle to zoom around.
