About the Event
Have you ever wondered about the story behind visionary artists and thier artwork?
Â
Join us for a Virtual Program taking you behind-the-scenes of one of AVAMâs featured artists, Matt Sesow. Sesow is an American contemporary painter known for his raw, emotionally charged, and visceral expressionistic canvases.
This program will highlight Sesowâs featured artwork in the museumâs Shock & Awe Exhibition, exploring his unique self-taught style, bold use of color, and his use of imagery and symbolism to express his personal subject matter. We will also explore a collaboration project with his wife and fellow artist, Dana Ellyn.
This will be a 45-minute artist talk with a 15-minute Q&A. Bring your curiosity, creativity, and questions. Matt Sesow will join us via Zoom from his studio and apartment in Washington D.C. You will receive a link to the program after registration.Â
