About the Event
A team of more than 50 builders will descend upon the AVAM to create a memorable work of Kinetic Performance Art using dominoes, planks, boxes, books, and other chain-reaction elements. This year's display will feature a massive 1500 square-foot mural on the theme of "Reaching for Hope.” During the performance, the mural's components will be brought to life with moving and melting animated textures created by the talented artists from the Maryland Domino Topplers.
Come early to talk to the artists and see the final, perilous (terrifying and scary!) activation, where the artwork safeties are removed in advance of the final, hands-free topple performance. Then stay after the topple to help sort the (expected) 75,000 dominoes that will be set up for the performance.
The performance time is 2:00 PM on July 11. The extraordinary topple experience happens in less than five minutes, and seating and standing is limited. This one-time event…
