Join us for a special opportunity to “Meet the Artist” featuring Baltimore native, visionary wood sculptor Junius Wilson. Visitors will explore Wilson’s creative process, inspiration, and approach to transforming natural wood into expressive sculptural works, large and small. Attendees will hear directly from the artist about materials, techniques, and the stories embedded in each piece, followed by time for conversation and questions.
Come experience the magic of Junius’s artwork and hear the stories directly from the artist! Free with museum admission. Junius will be in the AVAM gallery space from 11:00AM - 1:00PM.
