About the Exhibition

"ALL THINGS ROUND: Galaxies, Eyeballs & Karma" was a call to awareness of the circular and voluptuous nature of life, infused throughout all existence. Be it the micro-atomic spin of electrons encircling a nucleus, to the macro orbit of planets rounding our central sun, ALL THINGS ROUND took visitors on a tour from our own round beginnings as ova - those microscopic eggs from which we, frogs, elephants, rabbits, giraffes, etc, etc, emerge - to the circles within circles of our eyeballs that stand viewing the art. AVAM’s central, circular, grand stairway was punctuated by extraordinary crop circle photos. Galleries were filled with mandalas made by Tibetan monks, Carl Jung, and Adolph Wolfli. Works in bottle caps, curves, spirals, orbs, cells, and bubbles, depicting the full-bodied beauty that playfully manifests as circular dance throughout art, science, and the great far beyond were on view. Pi Day - March 14th (3.14) was celebrated by a visitor pie making contest.
