"Opening just after the September 11th attack on the NY World Trade Center, this exhibition underscored there is essentially only one war - fought individually as the struggle between the power for good and the power for evil in one's own heart and actions, and collectively, as the deluded conviction that another person’s life is somehow worth something less than one’s own - AKA humanity’s most ancient evil. The artists in this poignant exhibition were nearly exclusively soldiers or civilians who had been directly involved in a war, somewhere, over the last 150 years.
