About the Exhibition

"The materialist proclaims: “We are born alone and die alone. He who dies with the most toys wins.” The spiritualist believes there is no death; only constant change and transformation within a vast luminous web inhabited by innumerable fellow, seen and unseen, eternal beings—each of us an indestructible spark of the One Infinite Divine. From the child who holds tea parties with an invisible playmate to the poet or inventor who claims a muse or shining stranger appeared to provide them with much-needed insight, we wished to playfully explore our human experience with the dearly departed, fairies, and ET’s, and the persistence of angels as an enduring part of the world’s diverse religious cannon." - Founder, Director and Chief Curator, Rebecca Hoffberger
